Majestic: beautiful, powerful, causing great admiration and respect

What being on this earth is more majestic than elephants?

Pregnancy in elephants is a fascinating and magical thing. Not only do they have the longest ​gestational period of any mammal, that care and nurture lasts a lifetime. Following the matriarch, ​an elephant herd shows their power in their togetherness; often staying by their mother for life.

Mirrored Majestic was created in the hopes that the relationship between doula and birther/family ​tells a story of reciprocal empowerment while creating a beautiful birth experience.

I hope to create a space for birthers and their support team to feel respect as they take the journey ​through pregnancy, labor, birth and early postpartum.

About

As your doula, I will:

• be a source of education, guidance, and information during pregnancy and ​will help you plan for your birth experience
• draw on my education, knowledge, and experience to provide reassurance ​and perspective to you and your partner
• make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, ​positioning and other techniques for your comfort
• amplify your voice and encourage communication to ensure you have the ​necessary information to make informed decisions during your labor, free ​of judgement
• help you and your partner transition to life as parents with continuing ​guidance and information to aid your recovery, safeguard your mental ​health, and navigate post partum resources

I have called the Capital Region home my whole life, and am thrilled to be ​servicing the people of the area with birth support! My passion for birth work ​began in my fight for reproductive rights in college and continues to this day!
